CHANDIGARH SECTOR 31 POLICE NABS BATTERY THIEVES, SENT TO JAIL

In another breakthrough Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got success by arresting  the accused Rajat Gupta S/o Hukam Chand R/o H. No 747, Small Flats, Dhinas, Chandigarh age 29 yrsand solved recently registered a case FIR No. 38 dated 02.03.2024 U/S 379 IPC added, 411 IPC of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh.

(MOREPIC1)  As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Dalbir  Singh, DSP/South a team of officials of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh was constituted.

Police said, present case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Ashwani Kumar S/o Late Krishan Lal R/o H. No 3058, Sector-46C, Chandigarh in which he stated that he is running an electronic shop in the name of Sachdeva Traders at SCR No 86, Phase-II, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh and on the intervening night of 16.02.2024 his driver namely Yashwant parked their E-rickshaw bearing No CH01TE 4406 in front of his Shop and next day he went to out of Chandigarh for personal work. On 02.03.2024, while he was  came back and found that his E-rickshaw battery box lock was broken and 04 batteries were missing. Some unknown person has been stolen his E-rickshaw batteries.  

On receipt of secret information, a special team was constituted by SHO-31 and team conducted raid and one accused namely Rajat Gupta S/o Hukam Chand was apprehending and two stolen batteries were recovered from his possession.

During the interrogation accused disclosed that he had two batteries sold to scrap dealer namely Baljit S/o Rajbir R/o Jhuggi No 552, Sector-25D, Chandigarh age 30 yrs and he has also been arrested in this on 03.03.2024 on his instance and sold batteries recovered from his possession.

Both the  accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Further investigation is going on.

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Rajat Gupta  S/o Hukam Chand, H. No 747, Small Flats, Dhinas, Chandigarh, Age 29yrs, Qualification 12th, Profession Bangles seller in streets, no previous record found., but said accused is a habitual drugs addict.

Baljit S/o Rabjit , jhuggi No 552, Sector-25D, Chandigarh, Age 30 yrs, qualification 8th ,Profession Scarp Dealer.
