An In-house session was conducted, as a part of the Triennial National Convention under the aegis of Lt Gen GS Sihota, President, War Decorated India and the management committee of the Convention at Chandimandir Military Station on Sunday.
During the Session, Various issues related to the Veer naris and War Decorated veterans were discussed and resolved. Pension, medical and annuity payments by respective State Governments were some of the issues brought out individually. It was discussed to approach Directors of Rajya Sainik Boards and Senior Commanders in respective areas to resolve these issues.
On the occasion, Brig BS Gill, Vir Chakra, The JAT Regt was unanimously elected as the next President of the War Decorated India. He has seen active participation in 1971 Indo Pak War, IPKF Ops in Sri Lanka, Kargil Ops and extensive service in Counter Insurgency Ops in the North East. His both sons are also serving as Senior Indian Army officers.
