Under the leadership of Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Chairman Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, Malik Ehtisham ul Hasan Senior Vice Chairman, Syed Shamshad Hussain Qadri Organizing Secretary and Haroon Ahmed Rajput visited the grave of Dulla Bhatti, situated in the historical graveyard of Miani Sahib in Lahore, on his 435th martyrdom anniversary, paid obeisance by offering flowers.
On the occasion Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi said that Dalla Bhatti was a great leader of Pakistan and India. He was not for himself but for others. Long live those who erased it. Great people like Dulla Bhatti are born after centuries.
(SUBHEAD)The Mughals, drunk with power, hanged Dalla Bhatti's father first and then his grandfather too. They were hanged and their bodies were hung on the Shahi Fort for four days to give them a lesson. On March 26, 1589, Dulla Bhatti was also hanged in Milad Chowk, Delhi Darwaja, Lahore, for raising his voice against the Mughals.
The visitors demanded from Pakistan Govt that the incident of courage and bravery of Dulla Bhatti should be included in the educational curriculum, his commemorative stamps and coins should be issued and a beautiful tomb should be built for him. The Marla place was dedicated, which is the cemetery Miani Sahib, the beauty of Dulla Bhatti's grave has been destroyed by making graves in different places by manipulating the staff. A public holiday should also be declared, they said.
