Trident Stallions started well in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), but they had to face defeat in a thrilling match. Agri Kings Knights registered a thrilling win against them by 10 runs. Agri Kings Knights scored 212/8 runs in the first league match, while Trident Stallions put 202/9 runs on the scoreboard.
In the match played at IS Bindra Stadium, Trident Stallions won the toss and bowled first and invited Agri Kings Knights to bat. After Sahaj's 35 and Mayank's 24 runs, Mandeep Singh played an innings of 60 runs. Madhav scored 31 and Aryan Bhatia scored 23 runs to take the score to 212/8 in 20 overs. Trident's Gurnoor Brar dismissed 5 batsmen, while Baltej and Shubham Rana took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Trident Stallions captain Prabhsimran Singh hit a lot of shots, but he returned after scoring 22 runs in 13 balls. Vihaan Malhotra also added 28 runs in 21 balls. In the middle order, Abhay Chaudhary scored 48 runs in 29 balls and Sahil Sharma played a quick innings of 55 runs in 23 balls. Gurnoor came later and scored 15 runs, but the team fell behind by 10 runs after scoring 202/9. Ashwani Kumar took 4 wickets and Ayush Goyal took 3 wickets.
