Raisin Saini, daughter of Abohar native Shelly and Ludhiana based businessman Rajiv Saini, will participate in the Miss Grand India National Beauty Pageant to be held on August 11 at Zee Studio, Jaipur.

Saini, who was crowned second runner-up at the Miss Universe Punjab pageant, was born and brought up in Ludhiana. Along with completing her 12th grade education, she also received training in acting and dancing at the New York Film Academy. She continued to actively participate in cultural programs organized in educational institutions. After going to New York to pursue higher education in medical sciences, she became a dental surgeon. Along with this, she is nurturing her interest in modelling. Raisin got the title of Top Model in the competition organized in America in 2022. Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu was present to crown her.

She walked for famous Indian designers Archana Kochhar and Anaya collection during New York Fashion Week, held at the hall of mirrors in New York City, USA. For the unversed, the Ludhiana-born model is not only a model but also an actress, dancer, and social media influencer.

In keeping with family traditions, Resin, a Doctor of Dental Medicine, is keen to run an awareness campaign about oral cancer in rural areas of Punjab. She also plans to set up a dental clinic where patients suffering from oral cancer can be treated free of cost. She expressed hope that she would live up to the expectations of her fans and earn name in the coming beauty pageants.
