AWWA'S INITIATIVE TOWARDS EMPOWERMENT OF ARMY WIVES

The Army Wives Welfare Association and Saksham Sanchar Foundation (SSF) launched an initiative to empower AWWA members on Monday in a special event held at Sapta Shakti Auditorium, in Jaipur military station. 

(MOREPIC1) The aim of this endeavour is to empower AWWA members in the field of journalism and make Army Wives self-reliant by training them through current digital technologies. This joint effort of AWWA and SSF is a commendable initiative to bring about a change in the society. Under this initiative, 50 students of Army Public School have already been trained in innovative journalism. The students who received the training have started writing stories, showcasing their creativity. 

The students who received the training expressed their enthusiasm about the program. A student named Bhavesh said, “This course has brought positive changes in my life. I have started writing my own blogs, which are facilitating good collaboration offers.” The program was conducted by Mahima Rathore, a student of Army Public School, who said “Due to the training, I have learned many new techniques, due to which I now have 82000 followers on my YouTube channel.” 

Dimple Arora, a member of Saksham Sanchar Foundation, thanked the members of AWWA and said that this joint effort of AWWA and SSF has been done keeping in view the future prospects. He said that this initiative will be expanded across the country in near future so that special emphasis can be laid on empowerment of the young generation and women.
