MARTYRS’ FAMILIES HONOURED ON POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY

Police Commemoration Day function was organized at Police Lines Fazilka. The chief guests were District and Sessions Avtar Singh and Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu.

SSP Varinder Singh Brar, while offering floral tributes to the martyrs, said that Punjab Police has had a glorious history and the brave cops played an important role in establishing law and order in the state. He said that the personnel of the police force never cared for their lives and did not shy away from giving their sacrifices for the peace and tranquility of the state.

SP Ramnish Chowdhury remembered the martyred officers and jawans of various security forces of the country by reading the list.

Tributes were paid to the officers and soldiers of the police and paramilitary forces, who were martyred in the line of duty by observing a two-minute silence. The families of the martyrs, who also garlanded the portraits of their beloved-ones, were honoured.
