GAMC ORGANISES WORKSHOP ON ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION

A five-day workshop on environment conservation, organized jointly by the Red Ribbon Club and the Women Studies Centre, concluded at Gopichand Arya Mahila College here. 

(MOREPIC1)Kiranjeet Kaur, a Research Scholar from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) and the resource person for the workshop, led a series of lectures aimed at raising awareness and inspiring action on pressing environmental issues. She delivered insightful lectures on topics including climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable practices, urging students to recognize their role in protecting the planet.

Fateh Singh, a renowned film artist and Instagram influencer, and Aman, a singer, shared their views on environmental degradation and the role of social media in conservation efforts. They underscored the power of digital platforms to shape public opinion and inspire collective action towards a sustainable future. 

Principal Dr Rekha Sood Handa said that the event saw active participation from around 350 students, who engaged in various discussions and activities designed to deepen their understanding of conservation issues and strategies for sustainable living. 

Dr Neeraj Mehta and Amandeep Kaur highlighted the role of youth in driving environmental action and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing ecological challenges.
