RANA'S DOUBLE TON HELPED CHANDIGARH TO MANAGE STRONG LEAD OF 321 RUNS AGAINST MEGHALAYA

A magnificent double ton from Aksh Rana helped city boys to secure a strong lead of 321 runs against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy match being played at PCA Mohali. In reply to Meghalaya's 218, Chandigarh scored 539/4 on the second day.

Chandigarh, while taking its overnight score of 38/1 forward, made the opposition bowlers deprived of wickets. Rana shared a partnership of 204 runs with Ranvijay for the second wicket and 227 runs with Abhimanyu for the third wicket.

Rana scored 222 runs with 35 boundaries while Abhimanyu scored 161 runs with 21 boundaries and three sixes. Ranvijay Singh missed his century on 93 runs. Unbeaten Ehit Salaria scored 41 runs.
