SDM Abohar Krishna Pal Rajput visited different villages of Abohar area and encouraged the farmers to dispose of the paddy stubble properly by not setting fire to it and contributing to maintain the purity of the environment.
The SDM motivated farmers of village Raipura and Kala Tibba and said that the agriculture department has provided machines on subsidy, by which the farmers can dispose of the waste without burning the stubble and throwing it on the ground.
On the occasion, cluster officers Praveen Kumar and Rajinder Kumar, nodal officers and residents of the village were present.
Meanwhile, the police have registered half a dozen FIRs against unknown persons after receiving information that farm fires occurred in different villages mostly in Balluana constituency villages.
