Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

A training cum demonstration program on crop residue management was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

During the program, Dr. Prakash Chand Gurjar motivated farmers to manage paddy straw properly. He said that if we mix paddy straw in the field itself, then not only the fertility of the soil increases but also the amount of fertilizers used in the field is reduced, due to which the cost incurred by the farmer comes down.

Dr. Kishan Patel gave information about agricultural machinery like Super Seeder, Happy Seeder, Zero Drill etc. Harinder Singh Dahiya discussed various diseases and pests in crops and prevention. Farmer Karnail Singh spoke how farmers' income can be increased by producing mushrooms using straw. District Public Relations Officer Bhupinder Singh Brar shared information about straw management and agriculture related research being done at his level.

Farmers were informed about various activities in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Certificates were provided to the participants. Dr. Arvind Kumar Ahlawat and Vijay Pal from the Education Department were also present in the program.
