PUNJAB PAVILION AWARDED WITH TWO SPECIAL APPRECIATION MEDALS FOR EXCELLENCE IN DISPLAY AT IITF 2024

The Punjab Pavilion which received overwhelming response from the visitors during the India International Trade Fair 2024, held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, has received special appreciation medals for excellence in display in two categories which are thematic presentation and states and union territories pavilion. The medals were awarded by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), which were received by Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation (PSIEC) Officers during the ceremony held late evening on the concluding day of the fair. The fair was organised by ITPO from November 14 to November 27and this year’s theme was ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.

The pavilion's administrator, Davinderpal Singh and deputy administrator, Gurpreet Singh, said that receiving two medals in different categories is a matter of great pride for the state. They added that during the fair, people from not only Punjab but also from other states showed great interest in the stalls set up by various departments within the pavilion.

Under the able guidance of Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce, Tarunpreet Singh Sond and under the directions of PSIEC chairman Dalvir Singh, the department officials led by Tejveer Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce, DPS Kharbanda CEO Invest Punjab, Varinder Kumar Sharma, MD and Harjeet Singh Sandhu, AMD and executive director Bhai Sukhdip Singh Sidhu made dedicated efforts to depict Punjab’s rich culture and diverse strengths in industry, agriculture, handicrafts, fashion, and education, thereby contributing towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

The stalls from key departments such as Markfed, Milkfed, GMADA/PUDA, PEDA, Punjab Infotech, Punjab Agro, PSIEC, Invest Punjab, Punjab Tourism, Punjab Agricultural University, NIIFT, Punjab Mandi Board, PPCB and others had been setup in the pavilion to apprise the visitors about their products and services.
