A five wicket haul by Parth helped UT colts to secure a 56 runs lead against Himachal Pradesh at the ongoing Vijay Merchant Trophy at Shimoga (Karnataka) on Sunday.
Chandigarh bowled out Himachal Pradesh for 282 runs. Earlier, Chandigarh declared its first innings at 338/5. Adil Rana scored 116 runs for Himachal while Arjun Pathania added 34 runs. Parth (5/54) was the most successful bowler while Ritwik Sood (2/29) took two wickets. Chandigarh scored 62/0 in its second innings before the stumps were drawn.
Chandigarh is now leading with 118 runs.
