In order to make cricket more popular in all age groups, UT Cricket Association (UTCA) is organizing Chandigarh Premier League (CPL) in the month of February.

In a meeting chaired by UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon, the core committee has also prepared its blueprint. The league will be played between six teams from February 7 – 23.

Only registered players of UTCA are eligible to participate in this league. Due to renovation in 16 cricket stadium, all the matches of the league will be held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula.

Corporates or industrialists can bid for the ownership of the team for each franchise. Tandon said that this league will not only promote cricket at the grassroots level but will also create bench strength for the teams in various formats. Other features of the league will be released soon.
