CENTURIANS MANAN, TUSHAR POWERS UT BOYS TO BEAT J&K BY 7 WICKETS IN LAST FIXTURE OF VIJAY HAZARE TOURNAMENT

UT boys beat Jammu and Kashmir by seven wickets in their last league match of the Vijay Hazare tournament at Vizag on Sunday. Performers of the day – centurians Tushar Joshi and skipper Manan Vohra made the job easy while beating the challenge of 286 runs by just losing three wickets.

Earlier, J&K opted to bat first and posted 285/8 on the board with the help of half centuries from Shubam Khajuria (72) and unbeaten Abid Mushtaq (53). Nishunk Birla (3/24) clinched a maximum three wickets while Nikhil Sharma (2/48) took two.

In reply, openers captain Manan Vohra and Tushar Joshi put on a 237 runs partnership to make it a one sided affair. Manan scored 107 runs off 104 balls which included three sixes and 15 boundaries while Tushar scored a blistering 131 runs off 109 balls blended with four sixes and 15 fours.
