A splendid inning of Taisha Manchanda (91) helped UT girls to register a one sided 117 runs win over Mizoram at the ongoing Women's Under 19 ODI being played at Surat. Mizoram's decision to field first proved wrong as Chandigarh scored 232/5 runs in the stipulated fifty overs.

Manchanda scored 91 runs off 80 balls smashing 14 boundaries and a six while skipper Gulnaz (47), unbeaten Divnidhi Sandil (36) and Deepti Walia (32) supported well. In reply, Mizo girls collapsed for 117 runs. Jacinta (45) and Samjuali (16) were the top scorers while no other batter could even cross the double digit mark.

Tarunika (3/14) took the maximum share of three wickets while Taisha Manchanda and Geeta Pahwa took two wickets each. Chandigarh is scheduled to play its next match against Vidarbha on January 10.
