DOUBLE DEFEAT FOR UT GIRLS, LOST TO VIDARBHA IN UNDER 19 ODI WHILE DELHI BEATS IN T20 FIXTURE

UT girls suffered a two wicket defeat against Vidarbha at the ongoing Women's Under 19 ODI tournament being played at Surat, Chandigarh while opting to bat first was bundled out for mere 160 runs in 49 overs wherein Deepti Walia scored 49 and Taisha Manchanda and skipper Gulnaz added 30 and 24 runs respectively.

In reply, Vidarbha, which lost half of its team for 106 runs, was powered by Dharavi (46) who brought her team closer to target. Team surpassed the target at the loss of eight wickets in 42nd over. Opener Aaruhi scored 40 runs. Jais, Aahan Vaid and took two wickets each.

Meanwhile, Chandigarh faced another defeat in the Women's Under 23 T20 tournament when Delhi outclassed Chandigarh by 34 runs. Batting first, Delhi made 131/7 runs with the decent contributions from Monika (29) and Mansi (25). In reply, Chandigarh collapsed at 97 in 19.5 overs as Sarah (45) emerged as the top scorer.
