GOVERNMENT COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ADVANCED SPORTS FACILITIES TO PLAYERS

Haryana Sports Minister Sh. Gaurav Gautam congratulated the state’s men’s and women’s basketball teams for their achievements in the All India Basketball Civil Services Competition. The winning players met the Sports Minister at his residence in Chandigarh on Sunday.

On this occasion, Sh. Gautam stated that Haryana's sports policy is benefiting athletes and praised the players for winning medals at the state, national and international levels, bringing pride to the country. He also said that other states in India are now following Haryana's sports policy. The Haryana Government is committed to providing advanced sports facilities to its players.

The All India Basketball Civil Services Competition was held in Delhi from January 3 to 8. Haryana’s men’s team won the bronze medal, while the women’s team secured the silver medal.

Basketball coaches Amarjit Kaur and Harsh, fencing coach Komal, handball coach Manoj Kundu and many other players were also present on the occasion.
