In yet another seizure, the BSF sleuths recovered firearms and contraband dropped by Pakistani drone along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector. BSF officials said that acting on inputs provided by the intelligence wing regarding the presence of a suspicious item near the border.
The BSF launched a search operation during which it recovered two packets from agriculture fields near Tendiwala village along the zero line during which a packet containing Glock pistol with a magazine besides 548 grams heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape was seized.
BSF officials said the recoveries underscored its unwavering commitment to combating cross-border smuggling operations. " We are regularly intercepting Pakistani drones carrying consignments of heroin or arms to thwart any desperate attempts of smugglers to push arms and narcotics inside Indian territory" said BSF official.
The consignment was attached to an iron hook which indicated that it was a case of drone dropping.
