Punjab’s Minister of Employment and Training, Aman Arora, highlighted this transformation during the inauguration of IT By Design's new office at the Chandigarh IT Park. The state-of-the-art facility marks a major milestone in ITBD’s commitment to fostering talent and innovation in the country.
With a $5 million investment under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), ITBD aims to enhance employment opportunities, skill development, and technological advancements. The company has expanded its office from a 200-seat facility to a cutting-edge hub with over 800 seats, supporting plans to grow its workforce from 650 to over 1,200 in the next year.
Minister Arora praised the efforts of IT companies like ITBD in strengthening the local economy and providing career opportunities for the youth. He emphasized the importance of creating a business-friendly environment, including single-window clearance and ease of doing business, to attract more investments in cities like Mohali and Chandigarh. ITBD's CEO Sunny Kaila reiterated the company’s dedication to innovation, talent development, and sustainability.

As part of its eco-friendly initiatives, ITBD’s workforce pledged to eliminate single-use plastics and adopt bio-compostable alternatives. Sustainability training will also be provided to encourage green practices at work and beyond. Looking ahead, ITBD plans further expansion into Gurgaon and will relocate its global headquarters to Jersey City, New Jersey, next month. These initiatives solidify Chandigarh Tricity’s position as a hub for IT excellence and innovation, underscoring the region’s potential to drive economic growth and technological progress in North India.
