Jatinder Singh Gill, Deputy Superintendent of Police Jalalabad, and Sub Inspector Amarjit Kaur SHO Sadar Jalalabad said that 2kg 41gm of heroin has been seized.
During patrolling and checking, cops were informed that Chak Bajida resident Kewal Singh is used to selling heroin from Pakistan by drone and he was coming on a Bajaj Platina motorcycle without number to Fazilka Ferozepur Road from Nanak Nagar Link Road near the international border.
(SUBHEAD)A case was registered against Kewal Singh under Sections 21-23/61/85 of the NDPS Act and the road was blocked. After arresting Kewal Singh, 2kg 41gm of heroin was recovered from him and the un-numbered motorcycle Bajaj Platina was also seized.
From the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that Kewal Singh was going to sell the smuggled drug. The accused has been remanded in police custody by the court and will be questioned during investigation.
