Ahead of the Republic Day, Railway Police carried out a special checking campaign at the railway junction here.

ASI Jarnail Singh said that the railway police have increased vigilance. Cops investigated at the railway station and checked the luggage of the passengers in some trains. He appealed to the passengers that if any unclaimed object is seen in the railway station or train or any suspicious person is seen roaming around, then immediately inform the railway police.

During the checking, the Aadhaar cards of the labourers working near the railway premises were also checked. During this, the employees of the railway department also informed the passengers present at the railway station about some trains that will remain suspended upto January 30 due to interlocking work.
