Prithvi Raj Saneja, who was a prominent figure in the social circles at Abohar, passed away yesterday at family’s residence in Delhi. His eldest son Bharat Saneja informed that he was cremated at the Lodhi Cremation Ground in Nizamuddin West Delhi today evening.
Fondly called by friends as P. Raj Saneja, he was born on September 14, 1943 at Abohar. He was son of Munshi Ram Saneja, who was a close associate of Rai Kundan Lal Ahuja former member of the Punjab Legislative Council and a record-time president of the Municipal Committee Abohar.
Munshi Ram Saneja himself served as President of the District Congress Committee for a long time as well as a member of the local Municipal Committee.
Prithvi Raj Saneja was associated with Rotary Club Abohar and other social organisations. His wife Saroj had some time back had died. The family had developed a building in Gopichand Arya Mahila College Abohar in her memory.
