Punjab National Bank (PNB) organized a two-day “PNB Home Loan and Surya Home Loan Expo 2025” at the Sports Complex, Sector 78, Mohali. The expo was inaugurated by Madam Ashika Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Mohali.
She stated that this expo would be highly beneficial for customers looking to avail loans under the “Surya Ghar Yojana” for constructing houses or installing solar energy plants on rooftops. PNB is offering housing loans at an attractive interest rate of 8.40% and loans under the Surya Ghar Yojana at a 7% interest rate.

LDM M.K. Bharadwaj announced that on February 8, senior officials from PNB Headquarters, Delhi, will be present to assist in immediate loan processing. Eligible customers will receive on-the-spot loan approval letters.
Major Achievements of PNB Expo 2025 – Day one total 266 leads, representing a loan amount of over ₹90 crore. Instant approval of 8 loan cases worth ₹13.5 crore. Surya Ghar Yojana: 73 leads, totaling ₹2.42 crore. 100 customers registered under SSS schemes.
Madam Ashika Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Mohali, expressed gratitude to the PNB team, district administration, Sports Complex administration, and all stall partners. She emphasized that this expo is a significant initiative by PNB to promote financial inclusion and institutional financing. In her adtrdd Ashika Jain appreciated the efforts of PNB Deputy Circle Head Sanjeet Kumar Kondal, PNB AGM, LDM M.K. Bahadur, district administration, and all supporting teams. She highlighted that PNB’s initiative is a remarkable step towards financial inclusion and raising awareness about institutional financing for home loans.
She further stated that such expos help people understand government schemes, banking initiatives, and financial opportunities, bringing together stakeholders like builders, solar power vendors, home loan agents, bank employees, and the public on a common platform. She emphasized the importance of last-mile connectivity to ensure that loans reach every eligible individual, whether in villages, cities, or colonies.
