A pigeon was badly injured after getting trapped in a Chinese thread. The bird was rescued by social activists.
Lokesh Sharma said he saw a pigeon in Street-8 which was trying to hide under the vehicles. When he looked at it, the deadly Chinese thread was stuck in its entire body and legs. With the help of Vipan Sharma, he safely removed the Chinese thread stuck in its body.
He said that the pigeon's wings and legs were badly injured due to the thread getting stuck. He appealed to the kite sellers and users to understand the pain of these voiceless birds and give up this deadly thread. Due to this many innocent animals die and sometimes it proves fatal for people also. He also demanded the police administration to act against those selling Chinese Door as dozens of people across the state had suffered.
Municipal Corporation sanitary inspector Kartar Singh said that the MC team has carried out raids and inspected kite shops but found Chinese thread nowhere. There was a possibility that some people arranged Chinese thread from other cities and were using the same here
