As per the directions of W/DGP/UT Sh. Surender Kumar Yadav, IPS, W/SSP/UT Chandigarh, Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS and the close guidance of Ms. GeetanjaliKhandelwal, IPS, W/SP/City, a special drive was conducted against illegally immigration companies operating in the city.

These agencies were found deceiving and cheating citizens by falsely promising visas and overseas job opportunities without proper authorization, in violation of the Immigration Act, 1983 and the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Chandigarh.

Several teams of Chandigarh Police constituted and raids were conducted at various places of Chandigarh and multiple FIRs were registered under various sections of BNS & Immigration Act. During the operations, passports, laptops, desktops, cash and other incriminating materials were recovered from their possession.

POLICE STATION SECTOR 3 : Case FIR No. 11 dated 12.02.2025 u/s 24 Immigration Act and 223 BNS, has been registered against Anu Thakur owner of M/s Milestone Immigration company, SCO no.116-117, top floor Sec-8C Chandigarh, who was running her advertisement on Instagram regarding work permit and construction work visa of Dubai and she has also not got conducted the verification of her employees serving in her firm. During the course of investigation accused Anu Thakur has been arrested in this case and recovered mobile phone from her possession.

Case FIR No. 12 dated 12.02.2025 u/s 223 BNS, PS-03, UT, Chandigarh has been registered on the complaint of ASI Jatin against Alka Thakur owner of M/s Greenland overseas consultancy, SCO no.112-113, top floor, Sec-8C Chandigarh in which several employees were working without police verification. During the course of investigation accused Alka Thakur has been arrested in this case.

POLICE STATION SECTOR 17 : 

FIR No. 22, dated 12.02.2025, under Section 24 of the Emigration Act, 1983 registered against Raj Kumar @ Rajbir, son of Inderjeet Singh, resident of House No. 5169, Village Kumbhra, Mohali, Punjab, aged 40 years’ owner of ‘Abroad Plus Consultant’.

FIR No. 23, dated 12.02.2025, under Section 24 of the Emigration Act, 1983 registered against Sagar Singh Son of Sh. Gurmej Singh Resident of Guru Gobind Singh Village, Ferozpur, Punjab Age 28 years, owner of ‘Immigration Consultancy Agency’.

FIR No. 24, dated 12.02.2025, under Section 24 of the Emigration Act, 1983, registered against Gagandeep Singh, son of Sh. Parkash Singh, resident of House No. 3083, Sector 22/D, Chandigarh, aged 36 years owner of ‘G.S Visa Point Private Limited Immigration’.

case FIR NO. 12/25 U/S 223 BNS & 24 Immigration Act registered in PS-19 against CALGIRI OVERSEAS SCF NO.67 ,2ND FLOOR immigration centre Sector 20 Chd.in which accused Harshdeep S/O Mahasingh R/O # Raipur tehsil NangalDam Distt. Ropar P.S Nangal HP.(#) 2331/B, Secondfloor block 30 sec 63 chd.arrested and one laptop and Entry registered seized from his possession.

POLICE STATION SECTOR 31 : Case FIR No. 38, dated 12.02.2025, U/S 223 BNS & 24 Immigration Act PS-31 has been registered. Accused Rupinder S/o Manjit Singh R/o Village SamanaKhurd, Tehsil-Morinda, District Rupnagar, Pb age 35 years and Mohdarif S/o Mohd. Irfan R/o H. No. 354/3, Housing Board Flats Maloya Chandigarh age 26 years have been arrested and released on bail. During investigation, 03 stamps of company, PAN Card of Rupinder and copy of Aadhar Card of Rupinder and Mohd. Arif have been seized.

POLICE STATION SECTOTR 34 : Case FIR No. 21 u/s 223 BNS and 10, 24 Immigration Act against owner of Dream Future Consultant, SCO No. 188-189-190, 3Rd Floor, Cabin No. 323, Sector-34, Chandigarh and owner Vikas Malhotra has been arrested.

Case FIR No. 22 u/s 223, 316 (5), 338, 336 (3), 340(2) and 10 & 24 Immigration Act against VikasBatra C/o owner of Tronto Wings, Ground Floor, Picaddly Chandigarh and others. Case FIR No. 23 u/s 223, 316 (5), 338, 336 (3), 340(2) and 10 & 24 Immigration Act against Vinay Choudhary owner of Veracity Overseas, Office, First Floor, Picaddly Square, Chandigarh and others.

POLICE STATION MALOYA: Case FIR-21 dated 12.2.2025 u/s 24 of immigration act and 223 BNS have been registered against Rajveer Singh and Satyam Bhatnagar, both residents of Patiala were running an illegal immigration agency in the name of Satyam immigration services at SCO no: 555 opposite Saini Gurudwara, Maloya. A raid was conducted and Rajveer Singh was apprehended. A CPU, around 60 passports and a sum of ₹2,60000 were found in their office.

This crackdown is a significant step toward preventing the exploitation of innocent citizens by unauthorized immigration agencies and ensuring strict enforcement of laws regulating overseas migration services. Chandigarh Police urges the public to remain vigilant and report any fraudulent immigration activities to the authorities.
