HARYANA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION SUBMITS 58TH ANNUAL REPORT TO GOVERNOR

A delegation from the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), led by Chairman Sh. Alok Verma, met Governor Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya at the Raj Bhavan today. During the meeting, they presented the 58th Annual Report for the year 2023-24 to the governor, in compliance with Article 323 of the Constitution.

The delegation informed the Governor that the report provides a detailed overview of the commission's work. They highlighted key points, mentioning that 50 advertisements were issued for various posts in 2023-24, leading to the recruitment of 1,831 candidates for Group A and B posts and sent the recommendation to the government. For this, the Commission has conducted 23 screening examinations, 25 subject knowledge examinations and 62 interviews throughout the year.

Secretary, Commission, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja said that the commission's primary role is to recruit candidates for Group A and B posts as per the demand of the government. Besides this, it advises the government in cases of disciplinary proceedings under the Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 2016, as well as on framing and amending service rules for various departments. Details of all these cases are also included in the annual report. The annual report includes details on summary of the commission’s history, recruitment processes, expenditures, and cases handled under the RTI Act.

Deputy Secretary, Commission, Sh. Satish Kumar, members of the Commission, Smt. Mamta Yadav, Dr. Sonia Trikha and Sh. Rajender Kumar also remained present during the meeting.
