In a strong show of solidarity, the District Administration organized a mega awareness rally in Abohar, with the participation of hundreds of students from various government and private schools. The rally carried the vital message of staying away from the menace of drug abuse.

The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Kaur Sandhu from the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys). It passed through the main roads of the city and concluded at Nehru Park. The DC urged them to remain focused on their studies, steer clear of harmful addictions, and encourage those struggling with substance abuse to seek treatment and support.

(SUBHEAD)Former MLA Arun Narang said that students are the future of the nation and should become ambassadors of this movement to spread awareness against drugs. The event also featured a powerful short play performed by the students, which resonated with the audience and further amplified the anti-drug message.

The city's streets echoed with spirited slogans raised by the students during the rally.

The rally through various markets of the city was led by Abohar SDM Krishna Pal Rajput, Assistant Commissioner (General) Amandeep Singh Mavi, and Chief Minister’s Field Officer Rupali Tandon. Others present included District Education Officer Satish Kumar and Deputy DEO Parvinder Singh.
