The renowned Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir in the national capital Delhi will celebrate the Diwali and Annakut Festival with immense devotion and grandeur from November 5 to November 10, 2026. Organized under the divine inspiration of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, preparations for this six-day religious festival are in their final stages. On this special occasion, the entire Mandir complex is being beautifully decorated with vibrant rangolis, colourful festoons, fresh flowers, and thousands of traditional lamps (diyas).

Talking about the event, Swami Dharmavatsaldas, Head Swami of the Delhi Mandir, said: “BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha celebrates Diwali and Annakut annually with great grandeur across more than 1,800 temples worldwide. This year, the festival will be celebrated on a large scale at Delhi Akshardham as well, with thousands of volunteers actively engaged in selfless service.”

Events: Thursday, November 5 (Govatsa Ekadashi): Festival inauguration with special worship (puja) and Aarti of the sacred cow at 10:00 AM. Friday, November 6 (Dhanteras): Shri Lakshmi Pujan for peace and prosperity at 6:15 PM. Saturday, November 7 (Kali/Roop Chaudas): Shri Hanumanji Maharaj Pujan at 6:15 PM. Sunday, November 8 (Diwali & Sharda Pujan): Traditional account book (Sharda/Bahi-Khata) worship from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a grand Deepotsav (Festival of Lights) across the Mandir campus at 7:00 PM. Tuesday, November 10 (Annakut Festival & Govardhan Puja): Shri Govardhan Puja at 11:00 AM, followed by Annakut Darshan open for all devotees from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

The hallmark attraction of the festival will be the Annakut Darshan on November 10, during which a grand offering of 1,256 varieties of pure sattvic vegetarian dishes, lovingly prepared by devotees, will be offered before Bhagwan Swaminarayan
