The women faculty members of Government Polytechnic College, Khunimajra, celebrated the festival of Teej with great enthusiasm and fervour. The women faculty participated actively in the celebrations and embraced the traditional spirit of the festival while sharing the joy and festivities of Teej. The entire campus was filled with excitement and a vibrant festive atmosphere.
College Principal Raksha Kiran extended her warm wishes to all the women faculty members on the occasion of Teej. She said that Teej is an important part of the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and North India. The festival is not only an occasion to celebrate and spread happiness but also plays an important role in preserving folk culture, customs and traditions and passing them on to the next generation.
She further said that such cultural programmes hold special significance in today’s busy work environment. These events provide women faculty members an opportunity to take a break from their daily routine, spend quality time with each other and strengthen mutual bonding. Such initiatives also help create a positive and harmonious atmosphere within the institution.
During the celebrations, women faculty members, including the Heads of Departments (HODs) from various departments, enthusiastically participated in traditional Teej activities. Dressed in traditional attire, the faculty members added charm to the celebrations and exchanged greetings and good wishes on the occasion of Teej. They also enjoyed traditional Teej songs and various cultural activities together. The presence of HODs from all departments further enhanced the spirit and grandeur of the event.
The celebrations concluded with the women faculty members sharing the festive joy together. They expressed their desire to organise more such cultural programmes in the future to promote togetherness, cultural values and a positive environment within the institution.
