Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

With the aim of preventing anti-national activities, drug smuggling and other illegal activities taking place across the international border, Gagan Ajit Singh, SSP Fazilka, along with Gursewak Singh DSP Sub Division Jalalabad and Lovedeep Singh Gill, DSP Fazilka, conducted a special visit to the border areas at night.

During the visit, the SSP met the police personnel deployed in the border areas and motivated them to perform their duties with full vigilance, caution and responsibility. The officers reviewed the security arrangements in detail and issued guidelines to further strengthen surveillance at sensitive places.

The SSP also held a meeting with senior officers of BSF and discussed the issue of making border security, joint strategy and mutual coordination more effective. Joint patrolling, blockade and close monitoring of suspicious activities are continuously being carried out by both the security forces in the border areas. With mutual cooperation between Fazilka Police and BSF, the security cover in the border areas shall be further strengthened so that any illegal attempt from across the border can be foiled in time. The security of the country and the people are the top priority of the police. Drug smugglers, anti-social elements and anti-national forces will be dealt with strictly, the SP said.
