Railways Sports Promotion Board emerged victorious by logging 43 points in the 50th National Senior Wrestling (Indian style) Championship at the Babu Rao Sanam Stadium in Pune. Maharashtra and National Capital Region (NCR) finished runners-up and third with 36 and 28 points, respectively.Sumit Kumar of NCR was crowned with Hind Kesari title. Wrestling Federation (Indian style)secretary general Roshan Lal handed over a cheque for Rs 2.5 lakh to Sumit Kumar. Abhijit Katke of Maharashtra finished runner-up. Krishan Kumar and Joginder Singh, both of Railways were joint third in the 130 kg competitions for Hind Kesari title. While Abhijit received cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh and Krishan Kumar and Joginder Singh got Rs 75,000.The winners in each category received silver mace and Rs 40,000 each. Sikkim Governor Srinivas Patil was the chief guest and distributed the prizes.

The championship was conduted in collaboration with Damdu Seth Halvai Ganpati Trust.

55 kg: 1 Deepak Kumar (Delhi), 2 Rahul Kumar (NCR), 3 Ankit Kumar (CRPF) and Viraj (Punjab).
61 kg: 1 Ravinder Kumar (NCR), 2 Suraj (Mah), 3 Sourabh (Mah) and Rakesh (Rlys).
67 kg: 1 Akshay (Mah), 2 Vikas (Rlys), 3 Amit Kumar (Chhattisgarh) and Pradeep (Rlys). 
75 Kg: 1 Pankaj Rana (Navy), 2 Vikas (Rlys), 3 Manoj Kumar (UK) and Jai Bhagwan (CRPF). )
85 kg: 1 Balraj (Delhi), 2 Sanjay Kumar (Mah), 3 Pardeep Kumar (Bihar) and Sandeep (Rlys).
100 kg: 1 Naresh Kumar (Rlys), 2 Monu (NCR), 3 Kapil Dhama (Delhi) and Sandeep Kale (Mah).
