HARYANA INSTRUCTS ADMIN. SECRETARIES TO ENSURE REPLIES ON CONTEMPT PETITONS SEVEN DAYS PRIOR ON HEARING

Haryana Government has instructed all Administrative Secretaries to ensure that replies or written statements are filed in all writ petitions three days prior and in contempt petitions, seven days prior to date fixed for hearing.

A D.O. letter to this effect was written to all Administrative Secretaries by the Chief Secretary. The letter further states, "In case there was difficulty in adhering to time schedule, application for extension of time for compliance of court order must be filed promptly within the time fixed for compliance of the court orders, and costs, if any, imposed by the court. Replies or written statement must also be filed a week before date of hearing fixed in the cases."The Administrative Secretaries would also submit compliance report or follow-up action within two days.
