After the green signal of Panjab University, Chandigarh, committee of 15 members of PU permitted the reappear students to take further admission in higher education, the demand to take similar decisions in other universities has picked up too.

Sooraj Bhardwaj, Organizational Head , Akhil Bhartiya Vidyaarthi Parishad demanded that on the same pattern Punjab Government & other Govt. Universities should also allow reappear students to take admission in higher and technical education so that one precious year could be saved.

Sooraj further said that apart from Punjab students of other states should also be permitted to take admission in next session so that these students should start their course well in time.

Punjab Unaided Colleges Association  said that this year many students from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar etc have got reappears resulting into the loss of their 1 year as in some states the result of the reappear exams would be declared late or the reappear exams would be conducted late. With the implementation of such decision for reappear students they would be able to save time and money both. If such students fails to clear their reappear then their admission to next session might be cancelled.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA while speaking said that considering Punjab University's  decision  in favour of students, Punjab Government should also take such initiative which could save one precious year of thousands of students.
