CHANDIGARH POLICE ORGANISED CULTURAL PROGRAMME AND BARHA KHANA

In the chevron of celebration of Police Week on Thursday a Cultural Programme followed by the ‘Bada Khana’ was organized at Multi-Purpose Hall, Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh was the chief guest on the occasion.

 
 
 
 
 
 Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, IPS, Director General of Police, Sh. Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, UT, Chandigarh along with other officers from Chandigarh Administration & police department, their families and retired police officers of Chandigarh Police were present in the function.

On this occasion, an Award Ceremony to facilitate the police wards was also organized by Chandigarh Police for their outstanding achievements in academics/ professional courses/ technical degree / sports / extracurricular activities during the year 2016-17.

 Total 60 police wards were awarded with incentives for their outstanding achievements. These includes 21 from professional courses like MBA, BCA, BBA, 5 from Post Graduation degree, 32 from Technical Degree/Medical Degree and 2 from Graduation degree. A total of 17,80,000/- cash rewards along with commendation certificates have been distributed for their future encouragements.

On the eve of 51st Raising Day, Chandigarh Police is celebrating Police Week from 1st Nov to 7th Nov 2017. To mark this occasion, Chandigarh Police will be organizing various activities/functions for strengthening the image of Chandigarh Police during the Police Week.
