HARYANA HONOURED INA SOLDIERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF MARRTYRS

Haryana today celebrated the birth anniversary of legendary leader Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose, which falls today with great honor and in a befitting manner. The INA soldiers and the family members of martyrs were honoured to commemorate their great sacrifice for the country.

 Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal paid floral tributes to Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose at Chandigarh today. Speaking on the occasion, he said that great nationalist, Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose was powerful and incredible orator whose persuasive speeches inspired people to fight for the independence of country. He presented organisational power and sacrifice as high morals to the people. His patriotism had forever left an indelible imprint in our hearts and he was being remembered for his role in nation building, he added.

He said that the present State Government had taken several important decisions for the welfare of freedom fighters and martyrs under which the pension of freedom fighters of second world war was increased from Rs 1500 to Rs 10000. Similarly, the the financial assistance to the family of those attaining martyrdom during war or fighting with terrorists had also been increased from Rs 2.25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The government has also given government jobs to 184 dependents of martyrs during the last three years.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary, Mr D. S. Dhesi said that today we were paying respects to one of the greatest leaders of the country who was born on Jan 23, 1897. Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose played a vital role in the independence of the country. He established and lead the Indian National Army (INA) during India’s struggle for independence. He said that his anniversary was celebrated in all the districts of Haryana and the Ministers of State Government was participating in the functions organised in his memory to honour the freedom fighters.
He said that Haryana Government would always remain prepared for the welfare of martyrs and their families. He urged the people to follow the path of sacrifice shown by our great leaders.

The Chief Minister gave away cash prizes and distributed sweets to the children of Government School, Sector 21, Panchkula.The Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain, Mr Gyan Chand Gupta, Mrs Latika Sharma, Mr Sukhvinder Singh, all MLAs and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar were also present on this occasion.
