DELHI POLICE BUSTED INTER-STATE SUPPLIER OF ARMS & AMMUNITIONS, ACCUSED CARRYING REWARD OF RS. 1 LAKH ARRESTED

A team of Special Cell, led by Insp. Sanjay Gupta and Insp. Rajesh Kumar under the close supervision of ACP Govind Sharma has arrested one notorious Arms& Ammunitions supplier namely Shripal Singh, Age 29 Years R/o PS Iglas Distt. Aligarh (UP). He was carrying a cash reward of Rs. 1 Lakh on his arrest.

Mr. P.S.Kushwaha, DCP, Special Cell, said ini November’ 2017, with the arrest of two notorious ammunitions supplier Mahipaland Sandeep Yadav, Special Cell had busted a gang who used to supply the ammunitions to the criminals of Delhi, NCR and recovered the biggest cache of ammunitions of 2017.

DCP further said, as accused Shripal is a hardcore criminal and has previously also remained involved in the crime and when he came to know that his associates were apprehended and Police are searching him, he went underground and used to hide himself in open fields.

In this raid 1310 live cartridges were recovered from them. A case vides FIR No. 83/2017 dated 17/11/2017 u/s 25 Arms Act PS SpecialCell was registered against them in this regard. During interrogation ofaccused persons, they disclosed that Prempal and Shripal are the main personswho used to supply ammunitions to the criminals of Delhi NCR. Later in January 2018, Prempal along with one of his associates namely Netrapal were arrested by the Special Cell after exchange of fire. However, Shripal was still absconding and CP, Delhi had declared a cash reward of Rs. one lakh on his arrest.

DCP further said, as accused Shripal is a hardcore criminal and has previously also remained involved in the crime and when he came to know that his associates were apprehended and Police are searching him, he went underground and used to hide himself in open fields.

He was frequently changing his hideout from one fieldto another field and also restricted his movements. Team of Special Cell hasraided his hideouts a number of times, however raid could not succeed because accusedShripal had got alarmed and was able to sense the movement of Police and keptrunning away.

Due to vast open area of fields, team did not get exact clue of his location. A team was stationed at Aligarh for more than 20 days. The strenuous & untiring efforts of four months paid the result when the team got the specific information that wanted accused Shripal will move from his hideoutsand visit Delhi to meet his associates. A team of special cell led by SI AmrikSingh, SI Rohit Kumar, SI Manish, ASI Sanjeev, ASI Ashok, Ct. Bajrang and others laid a trap Under Barapula Fly Over, near Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi and apprehended Shripal Singh, Age 29 Years R/o PS Iglas Distt.Aligarh,when he came on a motor cycle below Barapulla flyover, near Sarai Kale Khan to meet with his associates for chalking out the plan to supply ammunitions. 20 live cartridges of .32 bore were also found in his possession.  

Accused Shripal Singh, is from a lower middle class family. He has 5 brothers & sisters. He has worked as labour for some times in different fields before coming in this illegal trade. He has studied upto 12th class. Previously also he was arrested in three cases of NDPS Act, theft and cheating. He came in contact of one Prempal who lured him in to this illegal trade of supplying ammunitions andbecome integral part of this syndicate.Other involvements of the accused persons are being verified.

Police recovered from accused 20 live cartridges of .32 bore.,  One Motorcycle used for supplying ammunition. Total recovery from the gang: 2 Sophisticated Pistol of .32 bore, 1338 live cartridges. One Scorpio and two Motorcycles.

Forward and backward linkages are being ascertained. Investigation is inprogress.
