Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Right has taken up the matter of admissions of CNCP children under the provision of rule 134 A regarding this commission has sent recommendations along with the proposal to the Education Minister and the Director Elementary Education, Haryana for their action, Commission recommended that:

 “As per the provision under Rule 134 A of “Haryana School Education (Third Amendment) Rules 2013 meritorious students of Below Poverty Line and Economically Weaker Section are eligible for admission in private schools at the same rate as charged in Government Schools. It is brought to your notice that approximately 2200 children are residing in Children Homes in state of Haryana. Many such children lack basic documents like Birth Certificate, Income Certificate, and Haryana Domicile and become in-eligible to appear in entrance exam.

It is, therefore, recommended that the general exemptions from documents may be given to Children in Need of Care and Protection residing in Children Homes so that they can appear for this exam for admission in private school. In addition, the last date for submission of documents may be extended from 10.04.2018 so that more students can apply for the same”

Chairperson, Smt. Jyoti bainda added that these children are responsibility of the state government and along with providing care and protection; we have to ensure that they may get good and valuable education from their choice of school under 134 A. These recommendations are made to provide exemption of documents required for sitting in examination and to extend the last date for submission of documents from 10.04.2018 so that more children can apply.
