HARYANA TO UPGRADE 22 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITUES

Haryana would soon upgrade 22 Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) to the level of Model ITIs whose students would be able to serve at international level. For this, the Haryana Skill Development Department would collaborate with countries like Germany and Singapore. It is a matter of pride for the state that 15 students of ITI Palwal got global placement this year.

This was disclosed by the Haryana Industries & Commerce and Industrial Training Minister, Mr Vipul Goel, while honouring 23 winners of the State Skill Competition in Skill Development and Industrial Training Bhawan, Panchkula, today.

Due to the efforts made by the Haryana Skill Development Mission, as many as 15 participants from Haryana have made a mark in the world-class competition. These 15 skilled students would participate in the Global Skill competition in Kazan, Russia, next year.

Appreciating the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, he said Haryana participated in this competition for the first time due to his constant efforts and achieved second place after Maharashtra in the country.

The Haryana Skill Development Department was established in 2015 and from that day onwards efforts are being made to develop and highlight the skill of the students of the state. Haryana would do its best to come to the top in the country in skill development by next year.

On this occasion, Mr Goel awarded Abhimanyu Kumar of Gururgram in Automobile Technologies, in CNC Milling Devendra, in C.N.C Turning Abhishek of Jind, in Hair Dressing Faridabad's Chanchal, in Plumbing and Heating Jitendra Kumar of Gururgram, in Beauty Therapy, Alisha of Hisar, in Welding Manish Kumar of Faridabad, in Electrical Installation Harendra from Hisar cheques for Rs. 50,000 each for securing first position in relative streams. Similarly, students who secured second position were awarded cheques for Rs. 25,000 each by the minister.On this occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary, Mr T.C. Gupta, and Director, Mr R. C. Bidhan, gave a brief on the activities of the Mission. Mission Director, Mr Raj Nehru, was also present along with other officials of the department.
