ENCOUNTER: FIVE BANGALESHI CRIMINALS NABBED AFTER EXCHANGE OF OF FIREBY STF AND CRIME BANCH

Police team of STF Crime Branch under the overall supervision of DCP Crime, Dr. Ram Gopal Naik, has beensuccessful in apprehending 5 Bangladeshi Nationals involved and wanted inseveral cases of robbery, murder, burglary etc. after a brief exchange of fire.

Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, IPS,  said rrested persons are namely Kabir @ Himayat s/o Asraf Khan r/o VillageGodara Kalika Bari, P.S. Murel Ganj, Distt. Bangar Hut, Bangaladesh. Farooq@ Aslam S/o Ismail R/o Village Loban Chora, P.O.C.P Hut, P.S. Loban Chora,Distt. Khulna, Bangalades Zakir S/o Himayat Alatar R/o Village UttarBadal, P.O Badal P.S. Randa Shoran Khola, Distt. Bangar Hut, Bangaladesh. Indadul S/O Abdul Raj R/o Village Partasi, P.O. Partasi, P.S.Indurkari, Distt. Pirishpur, Bangaladesh. Aslam @ Khokan s/o Abdul khadirR/o Village Baroi Khali, P.O Sanyasi, P.S. Murel ganj, Distt. Bangar Hut, Bangaladesh. Gang leader is Farooq @ Aslam andmembers of the gang have committed crime in several parts of country and aftercommitting crime, they fled to Bangladesh and again returned to India aftersome time. With arrest of these five gang members, 4 cases of robbery, att. tomurder, burglary of different states have been worked out while moreinvolvements of this gang in crime in Delhi & NCR is expected to beunearthed during further investigation.  

*Bangladeshi Nationals involved inseveral cases of robbery, murder, burglary etc arrested after a brief exchange of fire with police*Two accused persons received bullet injuries while one police officer took a hit on his bullet proof jacket during exchange of fire*Three country made fire arms with 5 live cartridges and three empty cartridges were recovered from their possessionThese criminals were wanted in robbery,attempt to murder, burglary cases of Delhi, Karnataka, UP and Goa.

INCIDENT:

Onthe intervening night of 26/27-07-18, ASI Lokesh Kumar received a callregarding some suspicious persons roaming in the area of PS Preet Vihar. Whenhe reached at the spot and tried to apprehend the suspected persons, theyopened fire upon him and ran away. A case vide FIR No 152/18 dated 27/07/18 u/s307/458/186/353/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered in PS Preet Vihar inthis regard.

ACP/STF Sh. Pankaj Singh was detailed to work on Bangladeshi criminals committingcrime in Delhi &NCR area. Through the networks of informers and technical& manual surveillance, it came to notice that a Bangladeshi criminal’s gangled by one Farooq @ Aslam is active in Delhi & NCR area and they are alsoinvolved in the incident of attack on police officer of the PS Preet Viharalong with other cases of heinous crimes across the country.

Following a specific secret information aboutmovement of Farooq @ Aslam and his gang in the area of Taimur Nagar, ACP/ STFSh. Pankaj Singh constituted a team consisting of SI Rajiv Bamal, SI Ashok, ASIBir Singh, ASI Kuldeep, ASI Tahzeeb Haider, ASI Ashok, HC Sushil, HC Vijay, HCVirender, Ct Ramavtar, Ct Rahul Bedi, Ct Sashi and Ct Jagjeet under thesupervision of DCP Ram Gopal Naik. Some team members were in uniform while somemembers were in plain clothes. Team reached at the spot told by informer neartaimur nagar and laid a trap. At about 12:15 AM, 5 persons were seen comingtowards the police party and informer identified them as the Bangladeshi gangmembers. SI Rajiv Bamal warned them after identifying himself and told tosurrender. At this, they opened fire at the police party in which one bullethit HC Vijay but he was saved by his bullet proof jacket. Police teamretaliated and fired upon the criminals in which two criminals got injured andfall down while others started to running away. All five criminals wereoverpowered and apprehended. Injured persons were sent to hospital fortreatment. A case vide FIR No 296/18 dated 24/11/18 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC& 25/27 Arms Act was registered and all accused persons were arrested.Three country made pistols along with 5 live cartridges and 3 spent cartridgeswere recovered from the possession of accused persons. Total 6 rounds werefired during the exchange of fire in which 3 rounds were fired by police while3 rounds were fired by criminals

So far 04 cases of robbery, burglariesand firing upon police officer are worked out and more cases are to be crackedduring investigation in several places in Delhi & NCR.
