Panjab University Boxing (Women) claimed the overall trophy by winning three gold and three bronze medals in the All India Inter University Boxing (Women) Championship held at JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Udaipur (Raj) from January 27 to 31. coach Vishal Dhiya and Manager Neema accompanied PU team as coach and manager, respectively.
Panjab University Boxer Jasmine, who won gold in 57 kg class, was declared the Best Boxer.
Kurkshetra University, Kurukshetra and Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak finished runners-up and third respectively.
PU medalist are Jasmine (57 kg, gold); Deeksha (64 kg, gold Medal); Nandini (81 kg, gold); Gargi (51 kg, bronze); Savita (54 kg, bronze) and Annu (57 kg, bronze).
Team championship: 1 Panjab University, Chandigarh; 2 Kurkshetra University, Kurukshetra; 3 MDU, Rohtak.
