CBI ARRESTS ABSCONDING ACCUSED IN A CASE RELATED TO RAILWAY RECRUITMENT FRAUD

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an absconding accused, resident of village- Nainpur, District- Saharsha (Bihar) in a case related to Railway Recruitment Fraud. The accused was absconding since 2009.

CBI had earlier registered a case against then Station Superintendent, Kalchini Railway Station of NEFR and others alleging therein that the accused persons, under conspiracy had prepared false documents including appointment letters purportedly issued by Railway to certain gullible candidates who were falsely offered appointment in Railway. It was further alleged that the accused persons had cheated Rs. 95 lakh from the said candidates.

After investigation, a chargesheet was filed in the Court of Special CJM, CBI Cases, Bhubaneswar against four accused persons including then Station Superintendent of Kalchini Railway Station & the said absconder U/s 120 B r/w 420, 467, 468 of IPC. The said arrested accused was absconding.

The arrested accused was produced before the Special CJM Court, CBI Cases, Bhubaneswar and remanded to Judicial Custody.
