All India Inter University Rowing Championships (M&W) concluded at Sukhna Lake Sports Complex on Friday, which was organised by Punjab University Chandigarh.
A total of 22 Universities have participated in this tournament. The Chief Guest on the closing ceremony was Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu senior Advocate and the President of Punjab & Haryana Bar Association and President of Chandigarh Rowing Association. While giving away the medals to Winner's Dr Sidhu reiterated to make Chandigarh's Sukhna Lake Sports Complex as one of the best water sports area of the World and in coming years soon will host a world Rowing Championship at Lake sports complex.
Advocate Rajiv Sharma former rowing coach of sports department Chandigarh and Honarary secretary of Chandigarh Rowing Association who was nominated as member of Jury by Rowing Fededation of India did the umpiring in this championship which started on 24th March 2019. Association of Indian University's President Sandeep Sancheti inaugurated the Championship
