ONLINE BETTING ON IPL CRICKET MATCHES IN SIRSA: POLICE ARRESTED TWO PERSONS

Haryana Police has arrested two persons on the charges of online betting on IPL cricket matches from Grewal Basti in Sirsa. While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that a laptop, LED, setup box, 14 mobile phones, three mobile chargers, two remote, a Wi-Fi set, a laptop adopter, a mobile charger suitcase, three mini adapter and two registers having transactions of crores of rupees were also seized from the spot. 

Based on the specific input, CIA team raided the spot and nabbed the duo while betting on IPL match being played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The arrested accused were identified as Sudhir alias Shanti, a resident of Grewal Basti and Rohtash of Shiv Nagar, Sirsa. Police have registered a case under the provisions of Gambling Act in this regard and were inquiring the matter.

 In another incident, Police has arrested Bhagwandass, on the charges of possessing 180 banned tablets from the area of Mandi Kalanwali in Sirsa.
