ANTI TERRIORISM DAY: PUNJAB POLICE TAKES PLEDGE TO ERADICATE ALL FORMS OF TERRORISM, VIOLENCE, SECTT.STAFF ALSO VOW TO FIGHT TERRORISM

Director General of Police, Dinkar Gupta today administered oath to the Punjab Police officials here at Punjab Police Headquarters to observe the ‘anti-terrorism day’.All police personnel and staff took pledge to make their contribution to end all forms of terrorism and violence in their country and strongly affirm to fight against those who disrupt the lives and values of human beings.

Remembering the former Prime Minister of India Mr Rajiv Gandhi on his 28th Death Anniversary, Punjab Government on Tuesday observed the Anti-Terrorism Day. A large gathering of Punjab Secretariat staff members pledged to fight against all forms of terrorism at the Anti-Terrorism pledge function here .

The pledge was administered by Principal Secretary Planning, General Administration and Coordination Mr. Jaspal Singh in the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 premises.

Joining Mr. Jaspal Singh, the employees pledged, "We, the people of India having abiding faith in our country's traditions of non-violence and tolerance, here by solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values."

Meanwhile in a bid to aware the people about terrorism and violence, Director General of Police, Dinkar Gupta today administered oath to the Punjab Police officials here at Punjab Police Headquarters to observe the ‘anti-terrorism day’.All police personnel and staff took pledge to make their contribution to end all forms of terrorism and violence in their country and strongly affirm to fight against those who disrupt the lives and values of human beings.

While addressing the gathering, DGP informed that May 21st is being observed as ‘anti-terrorism day’ at national level and this occasion provides us an opportunity to uphold and promote peace and social harmony among the society.
