Oral Health Sciences Centre, PGIMER, in association with International College of Dentists, India, and Rotary Club, Chandigarh Central, organised a check-up and treatment dental camp at Chandigarh Press Club, Sector 27 B, Chandigarh, on Sunday. Over 100 members, including kids, got their dental check-up in the camp.  This was stated by Mr, Saurabh Duggal, Secretary General of the Club.

Dr RP Gupta explained the role of prevention in dental diseases. He explained the role of fluoride and advocated the use of professionally applied topical fluoride in preventing dental caries. Dr. Sachin Rai addressed the burden of oral diseases and stressed about the need of maintaining proper oral health. Dr Arpit Gupta from PGIMER highlighted the need to put pit and fissure sealants in caries risk individuals.

A team of four doctors from Oral Health Sciences Centre, PGIMER did check-up. Preventive therapy like Pit & fissure sealants and topical fluorides were applied to participants. Oral health education was given to each participant while checking their oral cavity. Appropriate referrals were also made for the participants for further treatment in Oral Health Sciences Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
