CHANDIGARH POLICE ARRESTED DRUG PEDDLER WITH 15 KG. GANJA AND HEROIN, SUPPLYING TO RICH YOUTHS

In continuation of special drive conducting to unearth illicit liqour, intoxicant substances etc., Chandigarh Police has succeeded to recover 15 KG Ganja by arresting a person namely Ramanand @ Guddu S/o Rajpal R/o H No 602, Amb Sahib Gurudwara Colony, Sector 65, Mohali Punjab Age 24 years.

Police said on Thursday SI Sarita Roy along with police officials laid naka on road near Ashadeep Building, Sector 31, UT, Chandigarh and the vehicles were being checked by them. At about 11.20 pm, one innova car bearing registration number PB 65AC 0880, which was driven by hindu gentleman, who further disclosed his name as Ramanand S/o Rajpal R/o H No 602, Jagatpur SAS Nagar, Mohali, Age 24 years, was stopped at naka, and the driver get off from vehicle.

ACCUSED DERABASSI AND DELHI  CONNECTIONS

Accused revealed that he purchase the intoxicate substances in the bulk from Dera Bassi, Punjab, thereafter, he prepared small plastic pouch containing small quantity of Ganja / heroine. Further the accused sold the said intoxicates to the customers by standing nearby areas of Jagatpura, Amb Sahib Colony, Mohali,  He also disclosed that their customers, who purchase the ganja & heroin, belong to Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh areas having good class including students / boys of rich families.  

 

It was found that his kurta pajama was dirty and a revolver was seen in his pocket of Pajama. On checking, a revolver, thereon Japan was written, and 04 live cartridges recovered from his pocket. On this, the said person escaped from the naka, who was nabbed by the police party accordingly. Thereafter, the accused disclosed that someone quarreled with him and he received injuries on his back in the said quarrel. Today, he was going to threaten the said person on gun point, who quarreled with him

On suspicion, his vehicles was checked, where one bag and one plastic pouch found in his vehicle’s diggy. On checking vehicle diggy, intoxicate substances i.e. Ganja measuring 15.400 kg in bag and heroine measuring 270 grams in plastic pouch, found. He could not produce any the licence / permit in respect of weapon and intoxicated substances. Hence, a case FIR No 225 dated 22.08.19 u/s 20, 21 NDPS Act and 25/54/59 Arms Act, has been registered and the accused Ramanand has been arrested accordingly.

Police identified the accused  as Ramanand @ Guddu (24) S/o Rajpal R/o H No 602, Amb Sahib Colony, Sector 65, Mohali, Punjab.  He studied upto  12th from Khalsa Public School Tangori, Banur, Punjab and married having one male and female child. HHe is having vehicles Driving school cab  (Chhota Hathi), 01 Innova and two school cabs (Chhota Hathi). He owns two properties in the name of his fathers  H No 602, Amb Sahib Colony, Sector 65, Mohali, Punjab (where accused residing with family) and  H No 1556, Amb Sahib Colony, Sector 65, Mohali, Punjab (where parents of the accused residing).

On the interrogation of the accused, it revealed that the accused involved in this crime since one year and purchase the intoxicate substances in the bulk from Dera Bassi, Punjab and Delhi, thereafter, he prepared small plastic pouch containing small quantity of Ganja / heroine. Further the accused sold the said intoxicates to the customers by standing nearby areas of Jagatpura, Amb Sahib Colony, Mohali,  He also disclosed that their customers, who purchase the ganja & heroine, belong to Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh areas having good class including students / boys of rich families. 

The accused purchased the recovered country made revolver & 04 live cartridges from Saharanpur UP in the amount of Rs 30,000/-. The present case is being investigated by SI Lakhmir Singh and further the accused will be interrogated to get clue about the source of intoxicated substances as well as weapon in his possession and to identify the persons to whom, the accused sold the intoxicated substances.
