DELHI POLICE BUSTED INTER-STATE DRUG CARTEL, AFRICAN WITH 15 CRORES HEROIN ARRESTED

The sleuths of Anti-Narcotics Squad/Dwarka District have arrested a foreign national of African origin who forms a major link of a narcotic drugs cartel engaged in supplying drugs in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The accused Ominyi Peter Solomon R/o Nigeria, Age-26 years was apprehended by the police in Mohan Garden when, after receiving the supply of Contraband in a bag from a supplier, he jumped from the terrace of a house in an attempt to evade the police. Quantity 3.72 Kg of Amphetamine and 850 Grams of Morphine, worth about Rupees 15 Crores in international market were recovered from the possession of the accused.

SINCE THEN HE HAS BEEN SUPPLYING DRUGS IN BULK QUANTITY IN STATES LIKE HARYANA, PUNJAB AND HIMACHAL PRADESH.,3.72 KILOGRAMS OF AMPHETAMINE AND 850 GRAMS OF MORPHINE WERE RECOVERED FROM THE BAG CARRIED BY HIM AT MOHAN GARDEN, DELHI

Commissioner Of Police:, Dwarka District,, said, on April at about 12:30 PM, on the direction of Sh Joginder Singh Joon, ACP/Operations, sleuths of Anti-Narcotics Squad/Dwarka District under the leadership of Inspr. Ram Kishan, in-charge Anti-Narcotics Squad comprising SI Kamlesh Kumar, ASI Vinod, HC Vijay and HC Jagat, were carrying out patrolling in Dwarka District to ensure the observation of Lock-Down/Curfew by the public. When the team reached Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, as directed by Sh. Akshat Kaushal, IPS, who is looking after the work of SHO/Mohan Garden, Ct Hetram also joined the team to assist them in patrolling.

During patrolling, one pedestrian African national carrying a bag on his back, was noticed by SI Kamlesh Kumar. SI Kamlesh Kumar signaled the African national to stop but he ran in the opposite direction in a Gali which aroused suspicion in the police. He was chased by the patrolling police team.

After running a few hundred meters, he entered into a house, climbed to the 2nd Floor through stairs and jumped onto the terrace of an adjoining house. On seeing that the police team was following him closely, he jumped from the terrace of the house onto another house across the street but landed in the Gali where HC Vijay and Ct Hetram had laid a well anticipated trap. The fleeing African fell down in the Gali and suffered injuries. He was overpowered by HC Vijay and Ct Hetram.

His name and address revealed as Ominyi Peter Solomon R/o Mbeke Nigeria, Age-26 years. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. In the meantime, Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/Najafgarh also arrived in the hospital and interrogated the accused Ominyi Peter Solomon. Then the bag held by him was checked and found to contain five Polythene bags containing suspicious grey-coloured substance which were tested and found to be Amphetamine and Morphine. The recovered contrabands consisted of 3.72 Kg Amphetamine and 850 Grams Morphine. The collective contrabands are worth about Rs. 15 Crore in international market. A case was registered vide FIR No. 208/2020 dated 04.04.2020 u/s 21 NDPS Act at P.S. Mohan Garden and investigation taken up.

DCP further said, during interrogation, accused Ominyi Peter Solomon disclosed that he came to India in November, 2019 on a tourist Visa. After coming to India he was staying with his friend at Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar. At Dwarka Morh, he was befriended by another person of African origin who lured him into peddling drugs with promise of good profits. Ominyi Peter Solomon received supply of drugs in bulk from this person and the same were sold by him to customers from Haryana and Punjab.

Further investigation and interrogation is being carried out to find the source of contraband and more arrests and recovery are likely.
