ONLY PASSENGERS WITH CONFIRMED TICKETS WOULD BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE RAILWAY PLATFORM : GIRISH DAYALAN

TO AVOID UNNECESSARY CROWDING, NO ATTENDANTS ALLOWED ON RAILWAY PLATFORMS

In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab,regarding persons travelling by train (Incoming/Outgoing) in the State, Girish Dayalan, Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar has informed that only passengers with confirmed tickets would be allowed to enter the railway platform to avoid unnecessary crowding and no attendants would be allowed.

If found positive, they would be treated as per health protocol.All the others would undergo home quarantine for 14 days and they would monitor their health status and report to the nearest health facility (On Phone No. 104) in case they develop any symptoms of COVID-19.The passengers who have a return ticket scheduled before the completion of duration of home quarantine shall be allowed to return only if asymptomatic. 

  
Besides, while boarding all the passengers must wear mask and maintain social distancing. All passengers would undergo health screening before entry into the platform and would have to reach 45 minutes before the departure time and only the asymptomatic passengers are permitted to board trains.As per the guidelines regarding the destination railway station, the passengers must download COVA app which must remain active and must self generate an e-pass over COVA app for a smooth exit from the railway station.

In case any passenger doesn't have mobile or is not able to generate e-pass, then after showing a valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID or any other ID proof issued by the Government), he/she would submit a self declaration form tothe health team deputed for screening at a designated place at the railway station. The passengers found to be symptomatic or high risk during screening would be taken to a health facility for testing.
