The volunteers of Azamwala branch of Dera Sacha Sauda, who are known as true blood pumps, donated 65 units of blood at a camp organized in the Civil Hospital here today.

In the past two months of lockdown related to Covid-19 pandemic the blood bank was falling short of requirements.
Camp manager Krishan Lal JE and Banwari Lal said that to meet the requirement, 65 units of blood were today donated with the guidance of Dr. Sonima Chhabra, incharge of the bank under the leadership of Shah Satnam Ji Green Social Welfare Force. The Dera devotees have been doing this noble service in the past also. The donors were provided with refreshments etc from the block.While thanking the donors they said that another camp will be held on the World Blood Donation Day on 14 June.

In this camp, Mannu donated blood for 32nd time, Sanju 28, Krishan Lal 55, Lakhwinder 20, Varinder 35, Mohinder Lal 15, Budh Ram 18, Amarjit 17, Avinash Chander 18, Krishan and Surinder 20, Chet Ram 55, Sandeep Kumar 23 and Dr. Gurmukh Kamboj donated blood for 57thtime.

The organizers also presented a corona safety gift pack to the SMO with 550 masks for distribution to needy people since wearing masks had been made compulsory for everyone.

SMO Dr Gagandeep Singh, while appreciating the humanity wellbeing work of the Dera devotees, expressed gratitude and said that the Blood Bank is being fulfilled by the Dera devotees from time to time by organizing blood donation camps, which is a truly admirable work.
